Keeping Bird inside a Cage Vibrates Negative Energy - vaastu
Do not keep a bird inside the cage as it vibrates negative energy inside the house and kills the ambitions of the members of the household. Rather, you can hang a bird house on the trees inside your house and if a bird builds a nest in that house, it is considered auspicious and leads to the prosperity and fame of all the members.

Ways to Reduce Negative Influence of Planets in your Horoscope
The position of the planets and stars in our horoscope influence our lives to a great extent. This is an interesting piece of information that I recently came across and would like to share with all. It is quite possible for us to reduce the bad effect of planets in our horoscope by practising these simple things in life. Giving respect and showering love to different members of family can do wonders.
- Saturn (शनि ) : Respect your elders
- Surya (सूर्या): Father
- Moon (चंद्र): Mother
- Mars (मंगल) : Brothers
- Mercury (बुध): Sisters
- Jupiter (गुरु/ब्रहस्पति ) : Guru or mentor
- Venus (शुक्र): Wife
- Rahu (राहु) : Animals
- Ketu (केतु): Helpless and crippled
Vaastu for Toilets
The ideal place would be in the north-west of the house.Though the toilet and bathrooms should always be situated separately but in modern houses, we find combined toilets and bathrooms. So if that is the case, preferably have it in the north-west or south-east of the room / house.
Some points to remember:
Some points to remember:
- Never have a toilet in the north-east direction (also known as the Ishaan angle, the place of Kuber and Indra) as it will drain away the finances from the house. Also having one in the south-west will spoil the health of the head of the house.
- While sitting on the toilet seat, one should be facing North or South.

Position of Clock in Vaastu
Most of the facts that I share with everyone on this blog are actually ones which I have tried and tested on myself and this being one of them.
If you are amongst the one who feels that there are too many things you have to do but time is running like what and that you are not able to keep pace with the time. Now, this could be because of the position of the clock in your house.A clock should never be placed on the Southern wall. Preferably place it on the northern wall and see the results for yourself!!!
Also keep in mind that the clock should not be placed exactly in front of the main door as it drives away the fortune.

GOD - The Biggest Treasure of Life
You often come across beggars on crossings who, though healthy, are begging for food and clothing. And even when you ask them to work for you in exchange for money, they refuse to do so.
Now what do you feel you are? You are nothing more than a beggar demanding for material things in life – a wife from husband, children from parents, and even from God. What we are not aware of is the fact that we have the greatest treasure of life with us, the Divine, to whom we are not trying to reach out to. If you stop reaching for material things and just try to please the Almighty, you will get biggest happiness in your life.

Tulsi & Hindu Mythology
Among other plants grown in the houses of Hindu families, the basil plant, also known as Tulsi, holds a great importance. There are basically two types of Tulsi plants available, the light green Shri or Rama Tulsi and the dark red Krishna or Shyama or Manjari Tulsi. It is so believed that Tulsi is very close to the heart of Lord Vishnu. For this reason, we find that whenever lord Vishnu is worshipped, the leaves of Tulsi are always offered to the Lord. The Lord’s pooja is said to be incomplete without the offerings of Tulsi. The Lord embellishes himself with the garland of Tulsi and its leaves are also placed at the lotus feet of the Lord.
In Hindu mythology, there are many stories associated with Tulsi. It is so believed that an impoverished woman, Tulsi, was indicted with charges of being unfaithful. When she was not accepted by anyone in society, she approached Lord Vishnu for help. But there also, Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu, did not allow her to enter the Vaikunthadham. But Tulsi did not lose hope and while waiting for the Lord in His courtyard for many days, she took the form of a plant (her arms turned into leaves and her feet into roots). Lord Vishnu was so pleased with her devotion that He asked her to be treated with respect as a consort. But as Laksmiji was quite envious of her, Tulsi has fetched a place for herself in the courtyard of a house.
The marriage of Tulsi with Lord Vishnu takes place every year in the month of Kartika according to the lunar calendar. For this reason, this month marks the beginning of marriage season in India. Performing the marriage of Tulsi with Shalagrama Stone, considered a depiction of Lord Vishnu, is considered commendable as it is equivalent to performing a kanyadaan.
The leaves of Tulsi are not offered to Lord Shiva but tulsi leaves offered to a Shaligram may be offered to Lord Shiva as Shiva is a devotee of Lord Vishnu.
The meaning of word Tulsi is 'incomparable one' and the plant indeed has such medicinal properties which are incomparable with other herbs. Having anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic properties, the plant is used as a cure for many diseases like cold, cough, bronchitis, fever, kidney stones, heart disorders, skin disorders, teeth disorders, mouth infections, headaches, etc.
